Regular and punctual attendance is an essential prerequisite to effective learning. Failing to attend school regularly can have a major impact on children’s education, their future and their life chances. Regular attendance means attending school every day, arriving at school on time (Before 8.30am) and attending every lesson.
95% | 9.5 days absent = 47.5 lessons missed |
90% | 19 days absent = 95 lessons missed |
85% | 28.5 days absent = 142.5 lessons missed |
80% | 38 days absent = 190 lessons missed |
If your child is unwell:
It is the responsibility of the parent to inform the Academy of a student absence and also to inform us of any changes to contact details. Parents/Carers are asked to contact the Academy before 9am on EACH day that their child is absent, informing of a reason for absence and when their child will be returning to the Academy.
Holidays during term time will not be authorised except in exceptional circumstances.
